These posts and paragraphs are the scraps of a good life. The little bits and pieces of my days written from the peripheral but lived facing straight ahead, in beautiful Mt. Juliet, TN where I love my husband, train and encourage my three boys, and listen as closely as I can to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit.
It is sometimes in the piecing together of the scraps, the small moments of a big day, that we can better see the meaning in what we have dutifully trudged through. Prayer and writing are my needle and thread. They are my way of stitching together the moments, finding stillness even amidst the doing, and the way I gain the affirming hand of understanding, and find her to be my intimate friend.
