Menu Monday

We have been very much caught up in the little things around here. I like the little things so I’m not complaining. I feel like God is teaching me things I want to blog about, but I can’t quite get here to write it all down. No matter. It will come.

We do still eat though. I have made out my menu week after week, but obviously haven’t always taken the time to put it here. I may need to simplify my methods. Explanations aren’t always necessary. They are fun though. This week we’ll try to simplify and we’ll only add the things that are going on that day and it may or may not seem obvious as to why I chose the meals I chose.

Here we go…

Daily Activities: Groceries, bake bread, at least three loads of laundry, karate and yoga

Tuesday: Chicken nuggets (homemade, fried in a little olive oil, with honey for dipping and served with veggies)

Wednesday: Turkey Sandwiches
Daily Activities: Final preparations for mom2mom, make/find items for Owen’s diorama for school, church, speak @ mom2mom

Thursday: Pizza (pre-baked crust on Monday, toppings added and frozen on Tuesday)

Friday: Chicken tortilla soup (homemade stock {in the crock-pot as I sit here}, cilantro and white cheddar….Mmmm)
Daily Activities: Final preparation for speaking at SHINE brunch, deliver some items for setup at SHINE Brunch, begin planning summer activities for boys, karate graduation

Daily Activities: Speaking at SHINE Brunch, prepare food and lesson activities for pre-marital life group, help Owen make his Charlotte’s Web diorama, make dinner

Sunday (Mothers Day): ? (they have to feed me on Mother’s Day)
Daily Activities: church, life group and whatever I want to do. If I nap, they leave me alone, if I want to go somewhere they are not allowed to complain. I love Mother’s Day.

Yesterday, Ivan asked what we would do for Mother’s Day and Kris said, “whatever mommy wants.” Ivan had an idea. “How about we let mommy choose whichever Star Wars movie she wants to watch.”

so generous.
