My dad got married on Tuesday. I have no pictures. I have little detail, but I thought I’d share with anyone who cares to know, and have this here for the sake of my own memory.
Tuesday, March 19th, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. Harry and Rosa tied the knot.
Congrats dad. I hope she knows what she’s getting into. (smirk)
He’s been alone for 11 1/2 years and he has only complained twice, I think that entitles an almost 72 year old fella a little joy in matrimony.
Rosa is from Venezuela, speaks a little English (which is fine, my dad can’t hear anyway) and likes to serve others.
My dad is from Oklahoma, speaks a little (unless he’s talking about the government, than he speaks a lot) and his love language is ‘acts of service’. I think they’ll be fine.
I asked when they are coming down to visit and he said, “when it warms up a little.” With the weather we’re having, that could be August. I’ll post a picture when I can though.
What?!? Oh my! Congratulations! My grandpa got re-married in his 70’s and was married for nearly 20 years when he passed away a year and a half ago. I’m so thankful that he had someone that was sweet and kind to be with him for later years of his life. I’m so happy for your Dad.
