I’ve Been Out

Had a great trip to Michigan with Kris and the boys. Met my brother’s girlfriend, visited with a lot of family and enjoyed several quiet moments with a view of pretty leaves, a little laughter and a little crochet. Throw in some baking, some football, some baseball and some good stories and you have a nice fall break.

The schools schedule those breaks for the kids and I’m so glad they do. Not for the sake of the kids…I don’t think they really help the kids much…but they sure are good for me.

Today I am taking the advice of my Sunday school teacher and I’m creating my “ideal” weekly schedule based on this article from Michael Hyatt. Anyone want to do it with me? Just download the Excel spreadsheet he has created for himself and change it to fit your own schedule. Don’t forget to include some down time and some wiggle room. I’m very pro wiggle room. Comment if you do it, I will publish mine when I’m done with it. Hopefully, that will be tonight.

Weird fact: my arm is sore from carrying a 25 pound bag of flour from my van to my sister’s van on the other side of the church yesterday. I guess I need to workout, but that is not yet on my ideal weekly schedule.

  1. It was nice to see you for a bit the other day. I’m glad the late notice worked into the wiggle room! Check out my FB profile pic. Apparently we were thinking alike:)

  2. I like this idea. it might work really well for me; there are so many things I want to devote time to and never really get there, because the evenings go by so fast after working all day. What if I planned my evenings to get a few things done? I bet it would make me feel productive and that’d be good.
